Jean Istasse, Europe President

Jean Istasse has been Pluxee’s Europe President since 2020 and a member of the Group Leadership Team since 2017.

Jean joined Sodexo Benefits & Rewards Services in 1997 as Operations Director in Prague, having already lived in the Czech Republic for two years at the start of his career. From 2000 to 2007, he occupied various roles in France and in his native Belgium in the e-Business, Payments, and Merchants segments, gathering experience in management and multi-country projects along the way.

In 2007, Jean was named Director of Geographical Development Central & Eastern Europe, supporting the expansion of the Benefits & Rewards Services activity before taking direct local leadership as Bulgaria CEO in 2009 and then Romania CEO in 2011.

Building on his broad ground experience and deep knowledge of local and regional markets, Jean then took on regional leadership roles. After reaching the position of VP Sales & Marketing Western Europe in 2015, he joined the Group Leadership Team as Western Europe President in 2017, expanding his scope to Europe President in 2020.

Jean oversees 13 countries, driving performance by accelerating digitalisation and delivering the best experience for all our stakeholders while developing the employee benefits segment.

Jean holds a BS in Business Engineering from the Université Catholique de Louvain and an MA in B2B Services Management from the Vlerick Business School, both in Belgium. A Belgian citizen, Jean speaks French, English, Czech, and Dutch.
